Who we are
Prior to founding the Fair Fruit Exchange (FFE), the team had diverse backgrounds working in developing markets with agri-processing technologies, IoT systems, data pipelines and artificial intelligence.
Through our work, we saw the impact that post-harvest loss was having on farmers and put our heads together to come up with a real solution. When we say “real solution”, we mean one that can be sustained by the market and won’t rely on philanthropic or government subsidies. That’s why we spent so much time developing a scalable solution to directly link farmers to high paying markets in the US.
The primary reason for founding the Fair Fruit Exchange was to create market demand which would facilitate investment into supply infrastructure for crop dehydration. Existing models focus primarily on supply infrastructure without responding to any imminent market demand or following clearly guided market linkages.
The Fair Fruit Exchange also focuses on several social impact indicators which add value to brands we partner with. These include CO2 reduction, improving economic outcomes and leadership roles for women and those at the bottom of the pyramid, improving efficiency in global food supply chains and improving nutrition and health outcomes.
